So my lovely Sister who lives in Costa Rica, in an Ashram makes the most delicious sounding herbal teas, using only the herbs necessary and boiling water.

She has sent me some pics and some recipes.

1) Ginger Root, Tumeric Root, calendula flower, licorice, mint and lemon balm.

- Boil the ginger and turmeric for 20 minutes, turn down the heat, add the herbs, and let sit for 20 minutes, before straining - Voila.

Turmeric & Ginger - These spices have many health and well being benefits.

Ginger and turmeric are two popular types of flowering plants that are widely used in natural medicine and remedies for a variety of ailments and medical conditions. Sometimes they are used in food in extract or spice form. There are many healthy keto recipes that use ginger and turmeric and ingredients. Or these recipes may use ginger but not turmeric or vice versa.

Calendula - Good for Your Skin. When consumed orally, calendula, which is an herb, has a wide variety of medicinal uses, from soothing upset stomachs and ulcers to easing menstrual cramps and treating sore throats. It is further believed to reduce fever, encourage menstruation, and prevent muscle spasms.

Licorice - Licorice is great for healing canker sores and cold sores (herpes simplex virus). Licorice is a potent antiviral agent and can be used to treat flu, herpes, and even hepatitis. Licorice is also a strong anti-inflammatory agent and can be used to improve the flavor of other herbs.
